Col. Nicole Malachowski (USAF, Ret.) defies stereotypes. Yes, she was a jet fighter pilot, but if you think you know her based on that, you'd be wrong. A leader, a combat veteran, the first woman pilot on the Thunderbirds Air Demonstration Squadron, a White House Fellow, and an inductee into the Women in Aviation International Pioneer Hall of Fame, Nicole's distinguished 21-year Air Force career exceeded her wildest dreams. But the dream came to an end when a devastating tick-borne illness left her unable to speak or walk for ten months. An indomitable spirit, Nicole fought back against overwhelming odds and prevailed. Drawing on stories from her career and personal life, Nicole inspires audiences to rethink the challenges they face every day. She urges them to go beyond resilience and become resurgent. Nicole's empowers people with three key beliefs: failure and risk is the price of entry for achieving something great; sometimes you need to yield to overcome; and her personal mantra - "nobody wants to lead a scripted life."

His mother, Realtor® Beverly Carter, lost her life at the hands of two clients in 2014. Since his mother's passing, Carl has dedicated as much time as possible to spreading the message of safety. He has a Master and Bachelor of Business Administration degrees from the University of AR in Little Rock, AR, and is currently pursuing an Executive Masters in Public Service from the Clinton School of Public Service.

Lynn Drake's status is well known in the industry: She's the commercial realtor focused on maintaining "true north" for her corporate clients. It's a reputation built on twenty years of commercial real estate experience and expertise in corporate and institutional workplace design, planning, and project implementation.

Lynn became a commercial realtor in 2001 after 15 years in corporate real estate, during which she initially managed and leased industrial real estate across North America for Central Transport, then directed real estate and facilities for 1,000 Kelly Services branches in the United States and Canada. Lynn has successfully completed over 2,500 real estate transactions, ranging from small business tenant leases to the sale and purchase of industrial complexes.

Lynn has been a strong supporter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and served as a City of Troy Planning Commissioner. She was featured on Florine Mark's "Remarkable Women" show and received Crain's Detroit Business 2007 Real Estate Excellence Award. She joined ITRA in 2010. In 2014, she was honored by GLWBC as an Outstanding Achiever for Oakland County. In 2015, Lynn was inducted into the Hall of Fame by Midwest Real Estate News and honored for her leadership by SE Girl Scouts of America.

In 2017, Lynn published “Do You Speak Lease, Finding And Negotiating Your Own Commercial Space”, a 170-page guide is a “must read” for those who need to lease office, industrial or retail space, and those who have been frustrated by the process of finding a commercial space.

Chris Janzer

Chris Janzer is the Assistant Director in the Office of Educational Assessment and Accountability (OEAA) and leads the Accountability Unit within the Michigan Department of Education. He oversees Michigan’s K-12 accountability systems. Chris joined MDE in October, 2008 as an accountability analyst. In 2015-17, he carried out the implementation of a new accountability system under Michigan’s federally approved Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) plan. He is currently working on enhancing the Parent Dashboard on MI School Data to ensure its continued success. Previously, he was the data analyst for Howell Public Schools where his responsibilities included state and federal reporting.

Chris Lambert thought seeking a marketing degree while living the frat life at Indiana University might lead him to law school and later to a career as a real estate developer. Boy, was he off! During his junior year, a spiritual awakening led to Bible studies replacing beer bongs. Then a call to Fuller and Gordon-Conwell seminaries, where he earned his MDiv and doctorate in preaching. For seven months in 2007, he and his wife helped a Liberian village raise needed resources for a well, farm animals and a new school building. That experience cemented his passion for community development. Upon returning to the U.S., he founded a church called Ekklesia. In 2010, he started Life Remodeled, loosely based on the TV show “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.” After three years of projects centered on building houses from the ground up in six days that were deeded to deserving families, Lambert partnered with the Detroit Public Schools to refocus Life Remodeled’s efforts on under-resourced high schools and their surrounding neighborhoods, evolving into a transformative citywide community rebuilding initiative. In the last four summers, Life Remodeled has mobilized more than 40,000 volunteers from business, community and church organizations to set the groundwork for sustainable change in four Detroit neighborhoods, each focused on bettering public education and creating safe passages for attending students. Maybe that development career wasn’t so far off after all.

Gregg Nathanson

Gregg A. Nathanson is an experienced real estate attorney and licensed real estate broker. He graduated from the University of Michigan and the New York University School of Law. Gregg specializes in real estate, environmental, corporate, finance, contracts and business law. He served as development editor and chapter author for a book on Michigan real estate for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and has authored dozens of law related articles. Gregg is a seasoned speaker and has spoken for many organizations including the State Bar of Michigan, The International Council of Shopping Centers, Michigan Land Title Association, CCIM, and the Commercial Board of Realtors (CBOR). He currently serves on the Board of Directors of CBOR and chairs it Forms Committee and Programs and Education Committee. Dale Zahn has 42 years of experience in the real estate industry: 17 as a Realtor® and 25 as an Association Executive for the West Michigan Lakeshore Association of Realtors®.
